What is Liquid Common?

We provide a comprehensive online platform and a hub of information for those interested in the food, drink and entertainment industries. We allow you to easily create your own website and give you access to a management system that allows you to organize and share information with others throughout the web.

What is a Lowdown account?

A Lowdown account allows business owners to share information by allowing them to easily create, edit and maintain their own web page. In addition, all Lowdown accounts come with a suite of free online business tools. Features include: food and drink specials, menus, maps, upcoming events, job postings, an integrated email system and more.

How do I update my Lowdown Account?

  1. Login to Liquid Common.
  2. Go to the Admin section of your website.
  3. Update any section by clicking on the Edit button that corresponds with the section you would like to update.
  4. Make your updates and save.
Do businesses pay a setup or monthly fee for using Liquid Common?

No. We will offer additional services in the future, which may or may not have a fee. However, additional services will always be optional. The current base services included with a Lowdown account are as follows: Messaging, Specials, Menu Creator, Search Engine Integration, Email Builder and more.

Does keeping my Lowdown Account current benefit my business?

Here’s why keeping your account up-to-date is vital to your success.

  1. Updates are posted instantly to your web page.
  2. Your members instantly receive your updates.
  3. Updates put your business at the top of The Lowdown search engine results.
  4. Updates put your business at the top of your member’s ‘My Lowdown list.

What is a member?

Members are people who have associated themselves with a Lowdown Account in order to receive updates from that particular establishment. Members’ email addresses are either uploaded or entered into the system by the business owner from email collection sheets placed at the establishment or an individual may choose to add a business to My Lowdowns by selecting the ‘Add to’ button at the top of every businesses webpage.

How do I build my Member’s Area?

Here are 3 ways to build your Member’s Area and ensure success.

  1. Manually enter email addresses you have collected from your place of business. Liquid Common has materials available to assist you with email collection at: http://store03.prostores.com/servlet/liquidcommon1/StoreFront
  2. Upload your existing email list directly to Liquid Common.
  3. People visit your webpage and like what they see. They simply click the “Add to MyLowdowns” link on your webpage to instantly begin receiving your updates on their own webpages. This also automatically adds them to your email list.

Helpful Hint: Ask your employees, family and friends to create a personal account and become your first Lowdown Members. This will help jumpstart your Member’s area as they share information about your business.

Note: Your email addresses are posted only to your account. We do not resell or distribute your email list in any way.

What is the Email Builder?

With just one click of a button, all of your Member’s will be emailed your current Message Board, Drink Specials, Food Specials and your next 3 upcoming events. It’s that easy.

Note: We suggest sending your Members no more than one email per week. Also, you DO NOT have to send an email to update your Member’s personal accounts. Your updates are automatically reflected on your Member’s web pages.

How does the Lowdown Search Engine work?

Liquid Common rewards businesses for keeping their accounts up-to-date. Our search engine automatically places businesses with recent updates at the top of our search engine results and My Lowdown!

Example: If a person performs a search for “Italian” or “drink special” and your business has made the most recent update in that category then your business will appear at the top of the search results.
